There is a war going on in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A war for the mineral riches of the country (remember Sierra Leone's "blood diamonds"?). The main victims of this conflict that has been going on for more than a decade, and has taken the lives of more than 5.4 million victims (the worst humanitarian disaster since WWII!), are women and children.
