Arise's participation in the Fashion Week (see previous post) has led me to (finally) discover their magazine (I know... one year after it was launched!) and I have to say that I am really in love with it. This is the very first time that I see a magazine about Africa present such a positive, inspiring and encouraging image of the Continent. It is a dream finally come true (or so it seems so far) and I am now trying to buy all the back issues that I have missed! Thank you & Congrats, Arise!!!

Maître Alfred Liyolo is a sculptor from the Democratic Republic of Congo whose talent has been recognized all over the world through major exhibitions - from South Africa to France, Austria or Switzerland..., and from China to Japan where he is the first African artist to have been greeted by the Emperor.

... Marrakech's most famous hotel which I mentioned before, has been re-opened after a period of re-decoration thanks to the talent of French interior designer Jacques Garcia. I am counting the days until I go back to Morocco in order to visit it.
